JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

High End Design Firm is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer. Qualified candidates should have an understanding of the interior design process. All candidates must be an ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative in a diverse range of projects operating in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities include project billing and administration, architectural finish schemes, furniture and fabric sourcing, vendor coordination, purchasing and tracking furniture orders, creating design presentations and writing FF&E documentation and specifications.

An ideal candidate should be a team player who possesses a sophisticated eye for design and willing to contribute creatively to a wide variety of projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelor's or Associated degree in Interior Design

-2-4 years of related experience as an Interior Designer at a residential design firm

-Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, specifications, color and materials

-AutoCAD knowledge a plus

-Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft applications

-Communicate with vendors and track orders

-Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize

-Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented

-Knowledge of Studio Design a plus

-Fluent in English

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate on hospitality and high-end residential interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents and contract administration.

  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.

  • Participate in selection of furniture and lighting and prepare specifications.

  • Produce millwork/ custom furniture and fixture drawings and details, which meet various and specific program requirements while also representing an overall design concept.

  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.

  • Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.

INTERNSHIP 

High-End Design Firm is looking for a detail oriented Interior Design Intern. We are in
search of a candidate who is an ambitious, self-starter willing to help with a diverse range of
projects operating in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited
to, working closely with designers, updating and organizing material library, onsite interaction
with contractors, assisting with revisions on CAD, researching product specifications and
learning product resources. Applicants must be well versed in Microsoft Office applications and
Google suite.
